When the big day arrives you want to make sure that you have touched on all the bases like the catering, the booking of the venue and most importantly sending out the wedding invitations to the people that you want to attend. Once you have gotten everything under control then you can relax a little until the big day of your engagement party where even if you wanted to you will still be just a little bit nervous. The engagement party is not the biggest part of the wedding plans but there is still the idea that you want it to go perfectly in every way without a hitch or problem. Getting people to arrive on time at the right place on the right day is all up to the wording that you choose to write on your engagement party invitation.

The wording for the engagement party invitations will direct the people you have sent them too so that they will be able to find the place on the day. The wording should indicate what time the function starts and roughly what time it will be ending. There is also the matter of putting on the place of the party so that people will know where to go and how to get there. A map on the back is also a useful tool for people that might not know the area very well. Make sure that you put the names of the people you are inviting on the invitations as well as what type of dress they will be expected to wear. Casual or black tie should be put onto the invitation which will indicate the style of the function. One of the most important things to tell your guests is who is having the party and who is getting engaged. Often a host name will be put together with the names of the couple who are getting engaged.

Engagement party invitation wording

Normally saving money on expensive things in your lives like events, holidays or buying new furniture you can always find a way to find the cheapest of cheap deals which is easier if you do it online. Making some of the items that you need for parties is always a good idea like making home brew for parties at home or buying in bulk for bigger parties like weddings and 21st parties. You can also do the catering yourself if you have only got a few dozen people however if you are reaching the fifty and above mark then it is definitely time to call in for some help. This does not have to be expensive but finding cheap meals that are good quality is different to finding cheap meals that could poison the entire party list.

Engagement party invitations are easy to make with paper or cardboard plus some fancy pens and colors. There are so many different colors for papers and cardboards that you could spend days looking for the right one but in the end a nice light color that is not too distracting from the message would be appropriate for the engagement party invitation itself. The wording might be a tricky part but really all you need to convey to the reader is the event, who is having the event and where and when the event will take place. These are your general who what where and when questions answered but you can also inform the readers of other important things like black tie or optional presents.

The engagement party invitation wording should be read as if it was you speaking so that the person reading it can use this as a judge of formality. Normally as engagement parties are quite formal to semi formal you might like to have something traditional instead of just made up on the spot. Start by greeting the guest and asking them to join you on your joyous occasion and then include the general who what where and when answers to the questions about the party. Following these simple rules will ensure that people will know enough to make it on time and on the right day and you can also ask them to RSVP so you can judge numbers for the catering.

Always start your engagement party invitation wording with a greeting to the people that you are inviting to the engagement party. This is a big event that preludes an even bigger event for the wedding so many people want to make sure that they are as perfect as possible to get the right prelude for the theme of the wedding. Depending on what the theme of the wedding is there is a defined link between the engagement party and the wedding which should be noticeable through certain elements like the engagement party invitations.

Engagement party invitation wording is one of the more difficult things to write about which also includes the wording for the wedding invitations which can often be even more difficult. Choosing the right words is one way of making people understand how you feel about this day and what getting engaged means to you. The words can be a way of explaining the love between the couple and how they vision their lives together after the event. This is the prelude to the bog event and the wording can often be a difficult decision to make out of all the small and fine details that are involved with an engagement party and wedding.

The greeting is important because you want people to feel welcomed to the event as well as making sure they know who they are there to celebrate with. Make sure that you include the time and the date of the engagement party otherwise people may turn up on the wrong weekend. Also the venue should be clearly marked and if the place the party is hidden then you should include a map so that your guests do not drive past or get lost. Include your name, your partners name and the name of the people invited so that there is no confusion about who is going where and when.

For your engagement party invitation wording there are so many options that you could say they are infinite. There are the fancy kinds of wording that look prim and proper which is what the majority of people would like to have while there are also comical or themed engagement party invitation wording that you can find too. Sometimes when you cannot find the right words on any of the store bought cards you might like to choose your own and have them placed on a card that you have designed yourself.

Some wording for invitations for engagements may be similar to the following.

A greeting, – The lucky couple would like to invite Mr. ______ and partner to.

We would like to take the time to invite Miss _______ and her partner to a.

The time has arrived to celebrate the engagement of _______ and _______ which we would like to invite you to attend.

_______ and ________ would like to invite you to this very exciting occasion of their engagement party.

The wording must start with an introduction which tells the people you are inviting who are getting married and who the person can bring. Dress regulations like black tie or casual should also be advised on the invitation so that people who are attending do not turn up to the event in the wrong sort of clothing. You can also add a gift list which is completely acceptable in some societies but the one thing you must include is the place, date and time of the engagement party. Without these important pieces of information there could be a lot of confusion about where the event is being held and on what day.

Finding the right engagement party invitation wording

Finding the right words for the invitations was taking longer than expected. I probably would have settled for less but Rose was looking for the perfect wording. Through the different ideas gained off this site we were able to design our own which was a definite plus to the whole invitation. On all of the store brought cards the engagement party invitation wording all sounded cheesy and hallmark. Rose wanted something original that we came generally came up with after some inspiration.

The words came to her using a combination of two the samples used in this website which was great because we did not have to pay for anything, they were very original even though inspired and we could put them on the invitations ourselves because we were making our own. I was happy that I did not settle in the end otherwise the invitations would not have come out as nice.
